Efflorescence Floristry is an eco-conscious floral design studio.
That means we prioritize sourcing flowers and foliage from local growers and American flower farmers (when in season), and we utilize sustainable floral design techniques in our work. For example, we don't use non-biodegradable floral foam or single-use plastics, and we reuse all our vases and vessels, sourcing many from local antique malls and thrift stores. Our florals bring beauty, charm, and intention to your celebration while reducing our impact on the environment and supporting our local flower economy.

With DIY Coaching, Angel helps you plan your flower palate, source your flowers, and plan your timeline. She also facilitates workshops to make bridal bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres, and table centerpieces.

What is Efflorescence?

Efflorescence Floristry is the home-based floral design studio of Angel Dean Collins. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia, Efflorescence primarily serves the New River Valley and surrounding area. We specialize in wedding and event florals, occasionally offering workshops, bouquet subscriptions, and pop-up sales. (Follow us on socials to stay tuned!) As an eco-conscious floral design studio, Efflorescence prioritizes sourcing flowers and foliage from local and American flower farmers and utilizes sustainable floral design techniques. Our designs are conceived with creativity, thoughtful intention, and in relationship with our community and environment.

The word "efflorescence" (pronounced eff-lor-ess-ense) is the scientific term for the process of blossoming. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines efflorescence as "the action or process of developing and unfolding, as if coming into flower."
